Hadrian's Walk

Hadrian’s Walk – Countdown

Apparently it’s now only 6 months until the Hadrian’s Walk that I (and also the OB) am doing in support of the Joseph Salmon Trust. About the only preparation I’ve done so far is buy a pair of walking shoes in the sales. And they make my feet hurt. There will be a greater level of preparation, but possibly not until the weather is slightly less snowy/slushy (delete as applicable depending on the time of day you’re reading this). And it may have to wait until after I’ve moved house, again. And after that I’m sure there will be something else to delay me, but that just means it will be all the more entertaining when I do finally get up there.

Just as a gentle reminder, this is being done as a money raising exercise for the Joseph Salmon Trust. This was set up following the loss of a little boy. The Trust supports parents who have lost a child by providing financial assistance to those who need it most. This may be to help with funeral costs or to allow the self employed a break from work while they come to terms with their loss.

Grieving families have enough to deal with without worries about where they will find the money to say goodbye to their child or pay the next electricity bill. Nothing we can do can make their situation better, but we can do something to stop it getting worse.

Please feel free to contribute any sum, large or small here: http://www.justgiving.com/hadrianswalkers. It will be much appreciated.

And P.S. Happy Christmas, Merry New Year, and all that jazz 🙂

  1. It’s definitely approaching .

I’m starting to panic a bit about some of the finer points – like what are we all going to eat? but I’m sure it will come together somehow.
