Happy new year – welcome to 2009
Because I can’t think of any appropriate words myself, I’m going to gratuitously steal these words by Neil Gaiman (hey, he stole them from himself this year, so I think that’s fair).
…I hope you will have a wonderful year, that you’ll dream dangerously and outrageously, that you’ll make something that didn’t exist before you made it, that you will be loved and that you will be liked, and that you will have people to love and to like in return. And, most importantly (because I think there should be more kindness and more wisdom in the world right now), that you will, when you need to be, be wise, and that you will always be kind.

Happy New Year.
HNY!
Great words – I think this year will be one where we all concentrate more on what we can achieve than the wealth we may gain – a year where people are more important than profit and one in which we return to more traditional, simple values…
Ugh, sorry to sound so nauseatingly ingratiating but I do think this might be my new favourite blog. Love the photos but, while they fill me with joy, I am also swayed to go bury my own camera in the garden. *Sigh*
And, also, hello.
Lovely post, Clair. The world could use more kindness, that’s for sure!
